Fundraiser to turf Piatelli Field

Fundraiser to turf Piatelli Field this offseason

We are looking to raise funds for the installation of a turf field at Piatelli. The installation of a turf field will allow for safer play for our young men and women, more consistent play, and fewer rain days (allowing for MORE game days).

Additionally, the installation of turf will reduce our annual maintenance expense for Piatelli’s upkeep and the subsequent frequency of our major capital campaigns, allowing us to invest that capital into additional events for our children.

Work is anticipated to begin this coming fall & winter so the new field is ready for the spring season. Piatelli Field will become one of the most desirable fields to play on in the state and give our community and families a home field to be proud of.

How Much Are We Seeking To Raise?

$250K of the more than $500K total project cost. It might sound like a big number, but to put that in perspective, every three to five years, MNLL spends approximately $45K to replace the fields and accrues an annual maintenance expense of $6K. We expect that we will need to replace the turf every 12-15 years and the annual maintenance will decrease to effectively $0.
